︎︎︎        Laine Publishing, established in 2016, was founded with a mission to create an inspiring, aesthetic, and informative magazine for the global knitting community.
Studio Marina Veziko was tasked with renewing the visual identity for Laine Publishing, crafting a design that brought a contemporary feel to the brand. This included a logo inspired by the meaning of “Laine” (wave in Finnish), with wavy, fluid letterforms. In addition to the visual identity, the website was redesigned to offer an intuitive and seamless user experience, enhancing the connection between their content and their audience.
For Laine Magazine, the project focused on a complete editorial overhaul, including a masthead redesign. The challenge was to create something fresh while preserving the charm that had garnered worldwide love from the knitting community. By moving away from the earthy, traditional aesthetic often associated with knitting, the revamped magazine feels fresh in an unexpectedly modern way.
