︎︎︎          FEW is a magazine focused on the most discriminated minorities in Finland. Each issue is built as an opening into a community through the perspectives of different individuals. Not to define a single truth, but to make space for complexity, nuance, and self-representation.

The project began around two years ago through conversations between Tino Nyman and Marina Veziko. Coming from a Roma background, Tino had long been frustrated by the narrow, repetitive ways Roma people are represented in Finnish mainstream media. FEW emerged from a shared desire to shift that perspective.

The intention is to create a platform where people can tell their own stories on their own terms, while inviting a wider audience to engage, learn, and look closer. For future issues, the editorial model expands through guest editors: each publication will be curated by someone from within the featured culture, shaping the issue through their own perspective and visual logic.

FEW approaches sensitive subjects with warmth, beauty, and respect — with a tone that is occasionally tongue-in-cheek. The contrast is intentional: making difficult topics feel more approachable helps the content travel further, resonate more widely, and open up new conversations.
